Raabta Privacy Policy
Raabta ("Raabta", "we", "our", or "us") provides school communication and management services for schools, teachers, parents, and students.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and what choices users have. This policy applies to the Raabta mobile app, web app, APIs, and related services (together, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following categories:
- Account and identity data (name, email, phone, role, school association, login metadata)
- Student and education records (attendance, grades, exams, homework, behavior, class data)
- Financial and payment data (invoices, payment status, transaction IDs, payment proof files)
- Uploaded files and attachments (images, PDFs, school workflow documents)
- Communications data (messages, announcements, notification preferences)
- Technical/security logs (IP address, device type, app/server logs, audit events)
- Push token data when push is enabled/configured
- AI prompt content when AI features are enabled and used
2. How We Use Information
- Provide and operate school features
- Authenticate users and secure accounts
- Process fee payments and related records
- Send operational communications (including OTP/SMS when configured)
- Support users and resolve technical issues
- Maintain security, fraud prevention, and auditability
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
Raabta does not sell personal information and does not use third-party behavioral ad tracking.
3. Sharing and Service Providers
We may share data with the school that manages the account and with providers that help us deliver the Service. Depending on configuration, providers may include:
- Supabase (authentication, database, storage)
- Cloudflare (hosting and delivery)
- SMS providers (such as Twilio or local SMS partners)
- Payment processors (such as Safepay)
- AI providers (such as OpenAI and/or Google AI APIs) when AI features are used
4. Data Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for service operation, school workflows, security, dispute handling, and legal/accounting obligations. Some records (for example financial or audit records) may be retained longer where required.
5. Children's Privacy
Raabta is used by educational institutions and may process student data under school direction, including data about minors. Parents/guardians can contact their school administrator or Raabta support for privacy requests.
6. Security
We apply role-based access controls, authentication protections, encryption in transit, and audit/security logging. No online system is fully risk-free, but we continuously improve safeguards.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or request portability of your personal data. For school-managed accounts, start with your school admin.
